Ernest Rayvon Reece
January 14, 1939 — October 23, 2020
Ernest Rayvon Reece was born January 14, 1939 in Iuka, MS, the son of the late Jesse Paul and Virgie Lamb Reece.
He was united in marriage to Betty Riley on September 11, 1959. Mrs. Reece preceded him in death on May 21, 2020.
Ernest worked for Carl Riley and Son Roofing before owning Reece Roofing Company. In 1974, he worked for KFC in Bartlett, TN and retired in 1995. Between 1997 and 2011 he worked for Refreshments in Corinth, MS.
He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and formerly participated in the bus ministries at First Assembly of God in Memphis.
Mr. Reece departed this life on October 23, 2020 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 81 Years, 9 Months, 9 Days.
He is survived by two daughters, Amanda Sullivan of Munford, TN and Amy Talley and husband Michael of Collierville, TN; a son, Ernest Jeffrey Reece of Guys, TN; seven grandchildren: Melissa and spouse Christina, Amber and spouse Derrick, Jonathon, Matthew, Raven, Joseph, and Chandler; seven great-grandchildren: Riley, Tyler, Brentlee, Kadence, Jessa Grace, Meredith and Stefan Jace; a sister, Edra Menk of Memphis, TN; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Reece was preceded in death by a sister, Eula Mae McClure; and three brothers: Buster, Everett and Eddie Reece.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriners Hospital in St. Louis.
