Ernest Stricklinwas born in Savannah, Tennessee on August 30, 1940 the son of the late Ernest Keaton and Clara Amy Melinda Youngblood Stricklin.On July 18, 1982 he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Bancroft, who survives.Mr. Stricklin was a retired Forklift Driver for Kerr Glass. He was a member of the New Life United Pentecostal Church, the Moose Lodge, and the Glass Bottle and Blowers Association (G.B.B.A.). He enjoyed working at the church, building birdhouses and wooded furniture.Mr. Stricklin departed this life on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the age of 69 years, 11 months, 1 day.In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 sons, Terry Gene Stricklin and David Ralph Zeigler both of Savannah, Tennessee, Gary Wayne Stricklin of Crump, Tennessee and Ronald Lee Zeigler of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Boleyn of Crump, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ancil Leon Stricklin of Joliet, Illinois; 3 sisters, Linda Gale Malone and Martha Sue Smith both of Savannah, Tennessee and Ella Lucille Downing of Memphis, Tennessee.In addition to his parents, Mr. Stricklin was preceded in death by his first wife, Nettie White; a stepdaughter, Tiffany Lynn Gwinn; a brother, David Stricklin.
