Services for Ernest Thrasher, age 51 of Waynesboro, TN will be Saturday,October 10, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee. Burial will follow in Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of arrangements.A native of Wayne County, he was born February 14, 1958, a son of Velma Thrasher Dean who survives of Collinwood and the late Lee Roy Thrasher. Mr. Thrasher departed this life Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at his home. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brothers, Roy Gene Thrasher and Gary Thrasher. Most of his life Ernest had worked in furniture manufacturing.Survivors other than his mother include his wife Gail Thrasher; daughter, Jennifer Thrasher; and a son, Jason Thrasher; two grandchildren, Victoria Mitchell and Kayden Mitchell all of Waynesboro; two sisters, Linda Hart of Florence, AL and Carolyn Pigg of Collinwood, TN; two brothers, Benny Thrasher and Greg Thrasher; and step-father Terry Dean all of Collinwood, TN.
