IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Esther
Stoll
October 2, 1935 – February 1, 2026
Mrs. Esther Stoll was born on October 2, 1935, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 1, 2026, after a long, full, and faithful life. She was 90 years old.
Esther was born in Fort Wayne, IN to Enos and Salome Brandenberger. She was one of thirteen children and was raised in the close-knit community of New Haven, Indiana, where she spent her childhood until her marriage.
On November 15, 1956, she married the love of her life, Victor Stoll, beginning a marriage rooted in faith, dedication, and service to God that would span more than five decades.
After coming to know the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, along with her husband, in 1966, Esther and Victor moved to Port Trevorton, Pennsylvania. Three years later, in 1969, answering God’s call, they moved their growing family to Belize, Central America. There they served for five years as missionaries, pastoring a church and ministering among the native people. Those years were filled with hard work, faith, and many treasured memories for the family.
In 1975, the family returned to the United States and settled in Dover, Delaware, where Victor pastored another church. The following year, in 1976, they moved to Finger, Tennessee, which remained their home for the rest of their lives.
Esther was the devoted mother of twelve children, whom she raised with love, discipline, and unwavering faith. She made the demanding work of child-rearing look easy through her energy, organization, and steadfast spirit. She was a wonderful housewife and an exceptional hostess, opening her home and heart to countless visitors over the years. Many, many people passed through her home, and all were cared for and made to feel welcome.
She was a godly example of a woman—strong in faith, full of spunk, and known for her feisty, joyful personality. Esther loved the Lord deeply and spoke freely and often about Jesus to anyone who would listen. She spent countless hours in devotion and prayer, filling tablet after tablet with handwritten thoughts and reflections as she studied God’s Word.
Esther leaves behind her 12 children, Ora Stoll (Melanie) Clarksville, TN, Mary English, Bethel Springs, TN, Ervin Stoll, Bethel Springs, TN, Melinda Beachy, (Herman) Finger, TN, Joan Stoltzfus,(David) Finger, TN, Salome Kinniburgh, (Arly) Finger, TN, Stephen Stoll,(Linda) Finger, TN, Laura Beachy, (Joe), Lobleville, TN, Wilma Stoltzfus, (Tim) Harmony, NC, Nathan Stoll,(Melanie) Henderson, TN, Michael Stoll, (Cory) Henderson, TN, Larose Harvey, (Ben) Henderson, TN, Vinny Enyart, a very special son of her heart, along with his six children, 54 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, two brothers, and five sisters, extended family members, and a host of dear friends, all of whom were touched by her faith, hospitality, and steadfast love for her family.
Esther was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Victor Stoll, who passed away on November 23, 2010, her grandson, Eldon English, in 2007, daughter-in-law, Linda Stoll, in 2016, and two brothers, and three sisters.
Her life was a testimony of service, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to Christ. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered until that joyful reunion in Heaven.
