Ethel Marie McCain departed this life on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the age of 81 years, 4 months,18 days. She was born in White House, Ohio on January 13, 1935, the daughter of Paul and Ethel Harris Gower. On July 31, 1975, she was united in marriage to Gene McCain, who survives.
Ethel had worked for Wal-Mart and was a member of the Inland Manor Baptist Church in Indiana. She loved crafting, especially cross-stitching and loved animals, her favorite being dogs and birds.
She is survived by her husband of almost 41 years, Gene McCain of Shiloh, Tennessee; daughters, Theresa Marie Hommel and Charles Hale of Portage, Indiana, Carol Ann Pieszchala and husband, Christopher of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Brenda Sue Kulp of Spotsylvania, Virginia; stepdaughter, Vicky Wilkerson and husband, Terry of Shiloh, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jennifer, Elisa, Robert, Anna Maria, Tony, Melody, and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Manuel, Christian, Aiden, Alana, Mattie, and Warren; half sister, Joanne of Germany; and sister-in-law, Alice of Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma Lee Phillips; stepson, Warren Gene (Buddy) McCain, Jr.; brothers, Jim Gower, Ed Gower, and Paul Gower.
