Etheleen Daniel Holt, a cherished resident of Collinwood, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on May 11, 2026, at Cypress Inn, Tennessee. Born on October 6, 1942, in Collinwood, she spent her younger years contributing her talents at Angelica, leaving a memorable impression through her dedicated work.

Etheleen was a woman of many passions. She found great joy in gardening and canning, as well as the art of baking, pursuits that reflected her nurturing spirit and creativity. Her warmth was felt by all who knew her, and her home was often a place filled with love and the comforting aromas of her baking.

She was the devoted daughter of the late Jimmy Calvin and Ruby Berry Daniel and was married to the late Bobby Cecil Holt, with whom she shared a lifelong partnership since their wedding on April 25, 1959. Etheleen also mourned the loss of her siblings Reba Dawson, Gennette Gorman, Ramonia Creecy, and Melba Daniel.

Etheleen's family today cherishes her memory and legacy. She is survived by her loving sons Reggie Holt (Pam) and Randall Holt (Tonya), both of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Her life was further enriched by her grandchildren Allison Ryan (Joby), Katie Morris (Jon), Laura Denney, Bethaney Baker (Mitch), Daniel Holt (Taylor), Kaleigh Holt, Lakeah Chapman (Jarrett), and Rylee Holt. Great-grandchildren Zoey, Lila, Seth and Thad Morris, Owen Marshall, Hannah Denney, Emree Holt, Kash Jones, Holt and Jay Ryan, Rhett and Brooks Baker; Clay and Lottie Chapman carry forward her legacy.

Etheleen’s loving family also includes her brother James C. (Sonny) Daniel of Collinwood, Tennessee, and her sisters Tricia Thurmond of Gates, Tennessee; Judy Dean Strait of Cypress Inn, Tennessee; Gail Edwards of Toney, Alabama; and Felecia Paul of Huntsville, Alabama. She is remembered warmly by numerous nieces and nephews as well.

A funeral service to honor the life of Etheleen Holt will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Stacey Holt and Greg Eaton officiating. Visitation; Saturday from 10am until service time at 2pm. Family, friends, and all who knew her are invited to gather to celebrate a life well lived and to share in remembering the remarkable woman she was.
