Eual R. Austin was born July 12, 1927 in Jacks Creek, TN the son of the late Homer and Velmar Stanfill Austin.
Mr. Austin grew up in the Jacks Creek area in Chester County. He was a U. S. Navy Seaman First Class from 1945-1946. He owned Austin's Barber Shop in Jackson and Eastgate Barber Shop in Memphis. He also owned and operated Nancy's Fabrics and Drapery Company and Joy's Untrasonic, both in Memphis.
Mr. Austin departed this life on May 11, 2012 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 9 Months, 29 Days. He is survived by two sons, Dennis Austin and wife Joy of Jackson, TN and Danny Austin and wife Vanita of Selmer, TN; three grandchildren: John Austin and wife Katie, Emily (Austin) Thompson and husband Andrew, Anna Elizabeth Austin; four great-grandchildren: Jayden Danielle Austin, Alice Elizabeth Thompson, Alli Claire Austin, Mary Katherine Austin; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Austin was preceded in death by four brothers: Clettus Austin, Earl Austin, Ottis Austin, Max Austin; a sister, Faye Day; and a grandchild, Daniel Austin.
