Eugene Gordon Jernigan

Eugene Gordon Jernigan was born July 20, 1925 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee the son of the late Homer Gordon and Lois Kernodle Jernigan. He was united in marriage to Rebecca Isbell, who survives. Mr. Jernigan has lived in Jackson, TN for many years and was retired from Consolidated Aluminum Corporation in Jackson. He served honorably in the U. S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church in Jackson.He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rebecca (Isbell) Jernigan of Jackson, TN; two daughters, Brenda Dungey and husband Clay of Jackson, TN, Malinda Chaney and husband Lewis of Jackson, TN; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; a brother, Lewis Jernigan and wife Mary of Bethel Springs, TN. A host of extended family and friends.In addition to his parents, Mr. Jernigan was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Moorelock.
