Eugene Shepard

Eugene Shepard of Cypress Inn, TN was born July 5, 1927 in Wayne Co., TN, the son of the late Cecil and Myrtle Pigg Shepard. Mr. Shepard was a body and fender man in the automotive industry and served in the United States Navy during WW II.Mr. Shepard departed this life on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 3 Months, 7 Days.He is survived by a son, David Shepard of Princeville, IL; a grandson, Christopher Shepard; nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Mr. Shepard was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Shepard; brothers, Clifford, Chester, C. J., and Elbert Shepard; sisters, Armeda Stults, Lorene Fowler, Geneva Dean, Louise Shepard.Services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Lutts, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.
