Eugene Thearp

Mr. Eugene Thearp, age 84 of Bolivar, Tennessee, departed this life Thursday morning, April 11, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Thearp was born Monday, November 19, 1934, to the late Floyd and Allie King Thearp in the Hebron Community near Middleton, TN. On July 17, 1955, he married Patricia "Pat" Thearp, who survives. Mr. Thearp was a member of the Hebron Baptist Church.

For 37 years, he worked as a tank delivery driver for Dixie Gas in Bolivar. In his leisure time, he enjoyed working with heavy equipment, including his dozer and track hoe, and he enjoyed farming. He could fix anything and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mr. Thearp lived most of his life in Hardeman County.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sherry Holland of Bolivar, TN; a son, Darren Thearp (Susie) of Middleton, TN; three sisters, Geniel Ervin of Bolivar, TN, Janette Willougby of Toone, TN, and Bryndal Sipes of Jackson, TN; a brother, Robert Thearp (Sue) of Bolivar; three grandchildren, Rachel Vincent (Richard), Clayton Ervin, and Sherridan Hodge (David); and two great-grandchildren, Khloe Vincent and Nolan Vincent.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Parthenia McKee, and a brother, Jimmy Thearp.
