Eunice Eva Shelby

EUNICE EVA RICE SHELBYwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on July 16, 1921 the daughter of the late Madison Escert and Jimmie Petty Rice.On December 29, 1939 she was united in marriage to W. H. (Pete) Shelby, who preceded his wife in death on August 30, 1995.Mrs. Shelby taught school for over 40 years and much of her early career was spent in 1 teacher schools. She especially loved her garden and enjoyed being with her friends. Mrs. Shelby was a member of Saltillo United Methodist Church where she taught a Sunday School class and she always looked forward to her Bible study each week. Mrs. Shelby was also a member of Bath Springs Eastern Star. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife.Mrs. Shelby departed this life on April 16, 2011 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 89 years and 9 months.She is survived by 2 sons, Bill C. Shelby and his wife Janice of Saltillo, Tennessee and Brad Shelby of Henderson, Tennessee4 grandchildren, Tracye Huffaker and her husband Bo, Allison Davey and her husband Michael, Madeline Shelby and Jared Shelby and his wife Shannon2 great grandchildren, Hayley Huffaker and Taylor Grace Davey
