Eva Price Staggs
was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama on March 1, 1930 the daughter of the late Louella Price Smith.
On January 25, 1968 she was united in marriage to James Hunter Staggs, who survives.
Mrs. Staggs had lived around the Hardin County area all her life and had worked as a seamstress for Angelica. She was member of the Jesus Christ Holiness Church in Lauderdale County, Alabama and the Senior Citizens of Walnut Grove. She loved playing guitar, quilting, singing, cooking, and enjoyed family gatherings.
Mrs. Staggs departed this life on Monday, August 29, 2011 at the age of 81 years, 5 months, 28 days.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Junior White and Ronnie White both of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 daughters, Linda McAnally and Susan Cordova both of Savannah, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; a brother, J.B. Smith of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 stepsons, Thomas Staggs, Mike Staggs and Keith Staggs all of Decatur, Alabama; a stepdaughter, Katherine Welch of Decatur, Alabama; 4 special children, Misty White Prince of Savannah, Tennessee, John White of Paris, Illinois, Jerry Qualls of Iuka, Mississippi and Tristan Deshazier of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, James Smith; a son, Wilburn White; a stepson, Lloyd Staggs; a brother, Lonnie Smith; a sister, Nell Henderson.
