Evelyn Ruth Edgar

Henderson, TN: Evelyn Ruth Kennon Edgar, age 88 passed away Wednesday morning May 23, 2012 at the home of her son in Lamar, MS. Mrs. Edgar was born in Caruthersville, MO the daughter of the late Gid and Ora Carrell Kennon. She went to school at Ridgley, TN. She was a homemaker, did baby sitting, and had worked at the Chester County Nursing Home in Henderson a short time. She married Ernest E. ‘Edd’ Edgar in 1973 and they made their home in the Sanford Hill Community of Henderson. She was a member of the Sanford Hill Baptist Church.She is survived by two sons Bobby Joe Hall and wife Betty of Memphis and Gregory Hall and wife Yvonne of Lamar, MS; two stepsons Jerry Edgar and wife Jean of Memphis and Henry Alexander and wife Betty of Munford, TN; and a stepdaughter Shirley Hooper and husband Ray of Jacks Creek; four grandchildren, ten step grandchildren, five great grandchildren and twelve step great grandchildren; and a sister, Faye Hall of Ridgley.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. ‘Edd’ Edgar in May 2008; a daughter Brenda Brown and three brothers, Aubrey Veal, Norman Veal and Joel K. Hill and a sister Jeannette Mauldin.
