EVELYN NEWSOM WARREN GREEN
Henderson, TN: Betty Evelyn Newsom Warren Green age 82 passed away November 12, 2019 at Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born June 7, 1937 in Chester County, and reared in the Roby and Center Point Communities, the daughter of the late Willard Ellis and Betty Anita Galbraith Newsom. She attended school in Chester County and graduated Chester County High School in 1955. She was married to Charles Winfred Warren in 1955. They made their home in Jackson, Bemis and then Henderson. He died in 1965. She later married Clyde Green in 1984. They made their home in Henderson. Mrs. Green worked at local factories and the Q Mart Store. She got her LPN at McKellar in 1983 and worked as a nurse at Jackson General Hospital until 1994. Mr. Green died in 1987.
Mrs. Green is survived by two sons, Tony Warren (Lisa) and Keith Warren and two daughters, Sherry Miller and Lynne Connor (Bill) all of Henderson; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and three half brothers, Paul Newsom, David Newsom and Joe Newsom.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Charles Winfred Warren and Clyde Jones Green, and a sister, Martha Anette Henley in 2018.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue.
Burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Saturday and 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM on Sunday.
