EVELYN (LEAN) HAMMOCK MITCHELLwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 23, 1937 the daughter of the late Dick and Charlie Daisy Barnett Hammock.On September 2, 1960 she was united in marriage to L. D. Mitchell, who preceded his wife in death on November 29, 2003. Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and she had also worked for various factories. Mrs. Mitchell previously lived in Rossville, Georgia.She departed this life on April 28, 2012 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 5 daysMrs. Mitchell is survived by one son, Mark Mitchell of Savannah, Tennessee one step daughter, Betty Humphrey of Rossville, Georgia6 grandchildren, Rebekah Jo Ledford, Andrea Lynn Thompson, Lacee Wilson, Mark Anthony Mitchell, II, Thomas Oryan Mitchell and Peyton Knox Mitchell3 great grandchildren, Ryleigh Ledford, Parker Ledford and Gavin Thompsonone brother, Bennie Mike Hammock of Counce, TennesseeIn addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Nannie Tingle and 3 brothers, David Earl, Sherman and George (Buddy) Hammock.
