Evelyn Nutt

Evelyn Brewer Nutt of Waynesboro, TN was born August 23, 1916 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Snow McMillan and Wilton Morrow Brewer. She was united in marriage to Trester S. Nutt on October 30, 1937 and he preceded her in death on September 9, 2005.



Mrs. Nutt was a retired teacher and a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ in Waynesboro, Tennessee.



Mrs. Nutt departed this life on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at her home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 94 Years, 9 Days.



She is survived by four sons, James H. Nutt and wife, Hilda of Lawrenceville, GA, Frank M. Nutt and wife, Cathy of Spartanburg, SC, Howard S. Nutt and wife, Jeannette of Lawrenceburg, TN, David M. Nutt and wife, Patsy of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Margaret N. Perry and husband, Randy of Brentwood, TN; fifteen grandchildren, Stan Nutt, Kevin Nutt, Steven Nutt, Paul Perry, Sam Perry, Bryan Nutt, Roger Nutt, John Carter Nutt, Eric Nutt, Noel Nutt, Carla Davis Bjork, Larry D. Nutt, Garrett Nutt, Whitney Evelyn Dixon, Adam Nutt; thirty great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Johnson of Nashville, TN; nieces and nephews.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Nutt was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Davis.



Services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Waynesboro Church of Christ in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Pinckley officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Visitation will be Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 5 pm to 9 pm at the funeral home. Her body will be placed in the church one hour before the services.
