Everett Austin (Jim) Rebstock was born September 4, 1921 in Dale, Arkansas the son of the late Shirley Harrison and Rettia Potter Rebstock.
He was united in marriage to Lucy Myrick on February 21, 1942. Mrs. Rebstock preceded him in death on March 1, 2005.
Mr. Rebstock was retired from Jackson's Cookie Company in Memphis, TN. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a corporal in the United States Army from 1942 until 1945. His primary service was in the Pacific Theater of operations. Mr. Rebstock was a member of the Mount Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. His primary interests included gardening, fishing, doing shade-tree mechanic work, and reading his Bible.
Mr. Rebstock departed this life on July 14, 2011 in Bolivar, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 10 Months, 10 Days. He is survived by four sons: Benny A. Rebstock of Ramer, TN, James Rebstock of Michie, TN, Terry K. Rebstock and wife Judith of Ramer, TN, Albert Rebstock and wife Sandy of Bethel Springs, TN; seven daughters: Mary Hendrix and husband Lee Royce of Memphis, TN, Helen Wilbanks and husband Hugh of Walnut, MS, Patricia Lacefield and husband Michael of Ramer, TN, Darlene Young and husband Billy of Iuka, MS, Sharon Reed and husband Ronnie of Mountain View, AR, Judy Harris and husband Dale of Jackson, TN, Christine Rebstock-Voyles and husband Ricky of Burnsville, MS; 24 grandchildren, 30 great- grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Rebstock was preceded in death by two daughters-in-law, Judy Ann Rebstock and Ann Rebstock; two grandchildren, Brian Rebstock and Lucretia Rebstock; two brothers, Cecil Rebstock and Leonard Rebstock; two sisters, Lorena Wallace and Helen Singleton.
