Ewing H. Adkins

Ewing H. (Skeet) Adkins was born March 18, 1925 in Montgomery County, Tennessee the son of the late Charles and Mai Bryant Adkins.He was united in marriage to Katheryn Littlejohn on January 1, 1989."Skeet" was a heavy equipment mechanic who ran the McNairy County Garage under former Road Commissioner Odis Matlock and was a retired truck driver for East-West Motor Freight in Selmer, TN. He was a past Master Mason in Clarksville, TN and was a member of the Selmer Masonic Lodge. He also attended the Pleasant Site Baptist Church. Mr. Adkins departed this life on July 20, 2009 at Grace Health Care in Clarksville, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 4 Months, 2 Days. He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Katheryn (Littlejohn) Adkins of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Sally Adkins of Clarksville, TN; two step-sons, Larry (Tomahawk) Tomaszewski and Kenneth Freeman, both of Selmer, TN; a step-daughter, Cherry Patrick of Ramer, TN; a sister, Sue Brown of Clarksville, TN; and a brother, Bobby Adkins of Clarksville, TN. He was also loved and blessed by ten grandchildren: David Browning, Tracy Browning, Cherri Brook, Jeremiah Coggins, Codye Tomaszewski, Gary Tomaszewski, Josh Rebstock, Jeremy Rebstock, Emily Bowen, and Walker (Lil' Dude) Lipford; and several nieces and nephews.
