F. R. Jenkins was born February 14, 1933 in Hardin County, Tennessee the son of the late Thomas Henry and Mary Hazel Wood Jenkins.He was united in marriage to Charlene Parrish on November 1, 1952.Mr. Jenkins was an owner and operator of Jenkins Construction in Selmer and J and J Campground in Pickwick. He was a member of the Center Hill Baptist Church in Counce, Tennessee, and had served his country in the United States Army. He loved catfishing and spending time at Pickwick.Mr. Jenkins departed this life on July 21, 2009 at his home in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 5 Months, 7 Days. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Charlene (Parrish) Jenkins of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Cone and husband Freddie of Bethel Springs, TN; a son, Larry Wayne Jenkins and wife Lisa of Corinth, MS; a brother, Freddie Jenkins of Selmer, TN; five grandchildren: Hope Gray and husband Jeremy, Chuck Jenkins, Fallon Cone, Cody Jenkins, and Paige Jenkins; seven great grandchildren: Christi Hurst, Ty Hurst, Triston Gray, Dillon Gray, Aiden Gray, Browning Gray, and Remington Gray; and a host of extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by a son, Charles Jenkins, and a grandchild, Hannah Jenkins.
