Faye Droke, age 96, of Bolivar, formerly of Memphis, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 4, 2017.
The widow of Eugene Clinton Droke, who died in 2016 after over 74 years of marriage, she was a homemaker. She was born April 3, 1921 in Chewalla, TN, daughter of the late Elmer B. and Stella Mae Hurley Davis, moving to Hardeman County about 30 years ago. She enjoyed painting, gardening, playing Bridge and ballroom dancing, but especially loved being around her family. Mrs. Droke was a Christian in belief.
Survivors include a son, William David Droke (Gloria) of Cordova; a sister, Phyllis E. Digel of Whiteville; three grandchildren, Geoff Droke (Sara), David Droke (Kimberly) and Deanna Darnell (Ken); 14 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Leslie, Mack and Bob Davis.
