Mrs. Hankins, age 68, of Toone, passed from this life on Wednesday morning at her home.
The daughter of the late Manley Eugene King and Willie Mai King, she was born in Bolivar and lived several years in Memphis before returning here in 2006. Most recently, she had been a homemaker, but for many years worked in mortgage lending with several banks including Bancorp South.
She married Mike Hankins on April 29, 2006 and in her leisure time enjoyed making others laugh, cooking for her family and time spent with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 14 years, Mike Hankins of Toone; two daughters, Shelley Clark (Todd) of Oakland, TN and Jade Cochran (DeWayne) of Drummonds, TN; one son, Chad Price (Rebekah) of Jackson; a sister, Elizabeth Collins (Kelly) of Bells; a brother, DeLloyd King (Jane) of Dyersburg; eleven grandchildren, Taylor Bates (Jordan), Justin and Shane Wilson, Preston and Alan Clark, Devan Massey, Brianna, Cayson and Paisley Price, and Jace and Drew Starnes; and one great-grandchild, Ada Greene.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hankins was preceded in death by a son, Shane Price; a granddaughter, Emma Grace Clark; three sisters, Willie Jean Chandler, Ann Anderson and Louise White; and a brother, Alvin King.
