Mrs. Faye Marie Terry Johnson was born November 28, 1923 in Savannah Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Alvin and Lee O. Jaggers Terry. She grew up in Morris Chapel and attended school there. She was united in marriage to John S. Johnson on April 11, 1941. Mr. Johnson preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 2008. In December 1943 they were blessed with the birth of a daughter Shirley into there home. They moved to Bemis in 1950 where they made their home for over fifty years. A few years after Mr. Johnson death she moved to Lexington to be near her daughter. She was a member of the Center Hill Holiness Church and served with her husband for 50 years in the ministry. She loved reading and loved being involved in the lives of her family.
Mrs. Johnson departed this life on July 13, 2015 in Lexington, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 7 Months, 15 Days.
She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Garner of Lexington, TN; two grandchildren, Donald Keith Garner and wife Angela, Melissa Rand and husband Ronny; three great grandchildren,Leah Price and husband Brittain, Tiffany Rand, and Landon Garner; one great-grandchild Timothy Price.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by three sisters, Laura Cunningham, May Faster, Eva Spencer; three brothers, L.C. Terry, J.H. Terry, Junior Terry; and son-in-law Donald Ray Garner.
Services will be held on July 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Center Hill Holiness Church in Lexington, Tennessee, with Rev. Ronny Rand, Rev. Keith Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Hill Cemetery in Henderson County.
