Faye Lester

Mrs. Lester passed away Sunday afternoon at the Bolivar General Hospital.

A native of Whiteville, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Hazel Smith. She was a 1960 graduate of Whiteville High School and worked as a licensed practical nurse at Pine Meadows, Western Mental Health and Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Mrs. Lester retired in 2006.

She was a member of the Parrans Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, yard sales, crossword puzzles and reading in her leisure time. She lived all of her life in Hardeman County.

Mrs. Lester is survived by her daughter Nancy Dodd (Kathy) of San Diego, CA; her son, Kevin Lester (Sandra) of Middleton; a sister, Alma Terry of Bolivar; two brothers, Wayne Smith of Hobart, IN and Donald Smith of Union City, TN; seven grandchildren, Hunter, Harlie, Hayleigh Lester, Kaitlyn Collins and Kristy Webb (Richie), all of Middleton, Colton Richie and Craig Collins (Candace), both of Hornsby; five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Hunter, Brooklynn and Hudson Webb, all of Middleton, and Gage Collins of Hornsby; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Lavon White of Bolivar; and a brother, Dennis Smith of Cullman, AL.
