FAYE PATTERSON
Jackson, TN: Faye Katherine Murley Patterson age 85 passed away March 7, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born September 2, 1931 in Chester County, the daughter of the late Willie Hamilton and Sudie Parlee King Murley. She went to school in Chester County. She married Hulon Patterson November 16, 1947, of the Hickory Corner Community. They lived in Memphis for eight years and moved to Newton, MS and then to Louisiana where Mr. Patterson pastored a church and moved back to TN in 1964. She loved working outside, growing plants and taking care of grandchildren. She also liked basketball and baseball. She played piano in church and was very active and helpful in the church. She was a member of the Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by her husband, Hulon Patterson of Jackson; four sons, Harold Patterson and wife Suzanne of Tupelo, MS, Steve Patterson and wife Joy of Franklin, Rodney Patterson and wife Amye of Bartlett and Danny Patterson of Jackson; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Murley, Billy Murley, and Ricky Murley and three sisters, Joyce Stewart, Freddie Smith and Jane Hayes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Gary Patterson in 2005.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Dr. Brent Lay officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday.
