Faye Raines

Mrs. Faye Raines of Whiteville departed this life Thursday morning,

February 14, 2013 at her home.



Mrs. Raines was born in Vina, Alabama and graduated from Vina

High School. On May 26, 1956, she was united in marriage to Mr.

Joseph Thomas Raines, who survives. Since 1979, she had lived in

the Whiteville area. She worked as a dietician for Southwest Human

Resources Center at the Whiteville Senior Citizens Center and was

also a licensed cosmetologist and beautician. She loved camping,

fishing and shopping and was a member at Bethlehem Baptist

Church where she was the former church treasurer and former youth

director.



In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Deborah

Chambers and husband David of Alamo; two sons, Richard Raines

and wife Tammy of Oakland and Jeff Raines and wife Shannon of

Somerville; five grandchildren, John Hung, Jimmy Hunt and wife

Heather, Brandy Buckingham and husband Buck, Ty Chambers, Lisa

Raines; and three great-grandchildren, Holden McCraw and Hannah

& Cash Buckingham. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, and a

granddaughter, Kellye Raines (2008).
