Faye Matthews Rumbaugh Brown of Waynesboro, TN was born August 1, 1928 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the daughter of the late William Price and Gladys Hughes Matthews.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker .
Mrs. Brown departed this life on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at her home at the age of 82 Years, 8 Months, 29 Days.
She is survived by a son, Randy Rumbaugh and wife, Kathy of Waynesboro, TN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dexter Matthews, Gary Matthews, and Larry Matthews, all of Waynesboro, TN; three sisters, Louise Hughes of Bessemer, AL, Edna Lockard of Hazel Park, MI, and Barbara Reed of Waynesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by a son, Terry Rumbaugh; two brothers, Buddy Matthews, Farris Matthews; three sisters, Bertha Farmer, Rosie Staggs, Lucille Edwards.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralph Cole Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, directing. Pallbearers will be Raymond Morris, Gary Matthews, Larry Matthews, James Kelley, Rex Reed, Andy Rumbaugh, Chris Hampton. Visitation will be Monday, May 2, 2011 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
