Henderson, TN: Willie Faye Smith Wharton, age 77 passed away September 11, 2012 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born and reared in Corinth, MS the daughter of the late Willie G. and Memphy Cotner Smith. She went to school in Mississippi. In 1949 she married Luther Yancey Wharton. They made their home in West TN where Mr. Wharton was a Baptist Preacher. Mr. Wharton passed away in 1977. In 1998 she married Paul Page of Jackson. She loved the river, boating, fishing and loved interior decorating. Faye was a beauty consultant for Mary Kay Products. She was a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church.
She was survived by a daughter, Betty Melton of Olive Branch, MS; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Brown of TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Yancey Wharton, a daughter, Barbara Wharton in 2007 and a brother, Bobby Smith.
