was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on February 6, 1907 the daughter of the late Joe and Sally Horton Sherrills.
She was united in marriage to Dewey Reaves, who preceded his wife in death on June 25, 1992.
Mrs. Reaves was a homemaker. She was a member of Hardin's Graveyard Solitude Church and last attended Adamsville Freewill Baptist Church. She was also a former resident of Wayne County, Tennessee and McNairy County, Tennessee. Mrs. Reaves enjoyed quilting, gardening and she loved cooking for her family and loved babies.
She departed this life on June 20, 2011 at Savannah Healthcare in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 104 years, 4 months and 14 days.
Mrs. Reaves is survived by 5 sons, James Reaves of Collinwood, Tennessee, Luther Reaves of Florence, Alabama, Jim Reaves of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, Clifton Reaves of Henderson, Tennessee and Cliff Reaves of Crump, Tennessee
3 daughters, Sue Willard of Adamsville, Tennessee, Maudie Harris of Cape Canaveral, Florida and Jean Cates of Crump, Tennessee
26 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 43 great great grandchildren
In addition to her parents and her husband she was also preceded in death by 2 daughters, Lurie Gibson and Hazel Smith, one son, Arlie Reaves, 5 infants, one brother, Clay Sherrills, 4 sisters, Maudie Horton, Vie Reaves, Fannie Wright and Leona Henson, one infant brother, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren
