Floyd Ray Hill

Floyd Ray Hill was born July 16, 1936 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Clifford and Pearl McCormick Hill. Mr. Hill departed this life on June 7, 2015 in Jackson, TN at the age of 78 Years, 10 Months, 22 Days.

He was united in marriage to Magdalene Harville on October 4, 1958.

Mr. Hill worked for General Electric in Selmer for 25 years. He also farmed and had worked for 8 years previously at Brown Shoe Company. He had been a member at Calvary Baptist Church in Adamsville since 1968 where he also served as a Deacon. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Selmer from 1964 - 1968 where he was first ordained as a Deacon in 1966. He had a former membership at Calvary Baptist Church from 1956 - 1964. Mr. Hill was a devoted Christian, husband, father, grandfather, and friend that will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Magdalene Hill of Adamsville, TN; a daughter, Glenda Stowell and husband Bud of Adamsville, TN; a son, Johnny Ray Hill and wife Kim of Huntingdon, TN; four grandchildren, Tiffany Kohtz, Kristen Flanagan, Anna Mitchell, Johnna Hill; 7 Great Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren; 8 Step Great Grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hill was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Treece, Beulah Russom; three brothers, Velmer Hill, Cratis Hill, Wilford Hill.
