Floyd E. Presley

Floyd E. Presley was born February 26, 1945 in Hardin County, Tennessee the son of the late Ancil Lee and Mamie Helen McAfee Presley.Mr. Presley was a 1963 graduate of Michie High School. After graduation, he went north to find work. Upon returning, Mr. Presley operated a cafe and billiard parlor, as well as overseeing rental property. He began working for General Electric in Selmer in 1972, and retired in 1996. He was a former member of the Selmer Moose Lodge, and was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Lebanon United Methodist Church. Mr. Presley departed this life on January 18, 2011 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 65 Years, 10 Months, 23 Days. He is survived by a sister, Jayne E. Wharton of Sterrett, AL; a brother, Joe Presley and wife Pat of Ramer, TN; two nieces, Emily Flaherty and husband Robert of Columbiana, AL and Kimberly DeBartolo and husband Anthony of Oak Forrest, IL; two nephews, John Raymond Presley and wife Toni of Steger, IL and Gerald Nelson Presley of Oak Forrest, IL; 4 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Presley was preceded in death by two brothers, James A. Presley and Ray N. Presley.
