FRANCES GENTRY
Henderson, TN: Mary Frances Gentry age 78 passed away October 20, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born October 6, 1937 in Middleton, TN and also reared in Middleton, the daughter of the late Alec Clyde Gentry and Ruby Inez Russell Gentry Stewart. She attended schools at Middleton. She married John Quinton Moore and they made their home in Bolivar, Hornsby and San Diego. She started working at Western State Hospital in the Dietary department, moved to California, moved back to Henderson and began work at Chester County Nursing Home, where she received her CNA and more recently worked for Pro Care Home Health out of Lexington until she became disabled. She was a member of the Old Friendship Baptist Church.
She loved the Thursday night singings with George Scarbrough at Heritage Towers and she loved to play Bingo at the Towers.
Mrs. Gentry is survived by a daughter, Pam Wagner and husband Buck of Henderson; one grandson, John Wagner (Arielle); a brother, Sammy Gentry of Ripley, MS and a sister, Ruth Trout of Selmer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Clyde Gentry and a sister, Ann Barber.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Glenn Harris and Bro. Iran Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Old Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday.
