FRANCES FRYE NELSON



Henderson: Frances Lydia Frye Nelson, age 81, died Friday night in the emergency room of Jackson General Hospital.



Mrs. Nelson was born and reared in McNairy County, near Finger, the daughter of the late Alfred Dewey and Lela Elizabeth Rouse Frye. She attended school at Finger. She married Andrew Joyce Wilson and they made their home in McNairy County and she worked in the garment industry. She was married to Ray Nelson in 1980 and they made their home in the Deanburg Community and Mrs. Nelson worked at Chester Manufacturing retiring in 1987 as a finish quality control inspector.



She was a member of the Estes Church of Christ.



She is survived by her husband Ray Nelson, and three sons; Harold Joe Wilson and wife Brenda, Steve Nelson and wife Lana, and Scott Nelson and wife Christina all of Henderson. She has two brothers Wilbur Frye of Lexington, KY and Willie Frye of Pinson, and four sisters; Edith Dallas of Finger, Reva Melton of Crump, Mary Godsey of Bartlett, and Linda Faulkner of Finger.



She also has 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by a son Monroe Wilson, two sisters; Estelle Russell and Bonnie Frye and a granddaughter Regina Wilson.



Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Shackelford – Casey Chapel with Roy Sharp and Billy Smith officiating and burial will follow at Chester County Memory Gardens.



The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 5:00 PM Sunday.
