Frances Ellen Balentine Price

Mrs. Frances Ellen Balentine Price was born February 8, 1938 in Cypress Inn, TN the daughter of the late Lincoln R. Balentine and Merkey Dickerson Risner. Mrs. Price was a Licensed Practical Nurse and a member of the Collinwood Church of God. Prior to moving back to Wayne County, she spent the majority of her working life in Peoria, IL. Mrs. Price departed this life on September 24, 2021 in Collinwood, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 7 Months and 16 Days.

She is survived by three sons, William Nix and wife Tammy of Decatur, AL, Paul Wayne Dunn of Iron City, TN, Michael Anthony Nix of Decatur, AL; two daughters, Lisa Nix Childers of Iron City, TN, Barbara Mitchell of Iron City, TN; a sister, Glenda Sue Sweatt of E. Peoria, IL; 10 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her husband William Price and parents, Mrs. Price was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Balentine and a sister, Annie Mae Majors;

Visitation will be held on Monday September 27, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday September 28, 2021 from 9:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood.

Services will be held on Tuesday September 28, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, with Nelson Moffit and Roger Risner officiating. Burial will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery at Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors Assisting the Family.
