Frances Billie Smith

Frances Billie Mincy Smith was born October 3, 1929 in Lenoir City , TN the daughter of the late Thomas R. Mincy and Mamie Myrtle Burns. She was united in marriage to Conan Smith in 1947. Mr. Smith preceded her in death in 1995. She moved to Sacramento CA in 1949, where she worked for the California Almond Growers as a Quality Controller. Mrs. Smith was a member of the the Disabled Veterans Auxiliary and a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in California. She moved to Chester County in 1991. She enjoyed golfing.

Mrs. Smith departed this life on December 2, 2016 in Henderson, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 1 Month, 29 Days.

She is survived by a daughter, Fran Dell Friend of Sacramento, CA; two sisters, Helen Cooper (William) of Athens, TN and Mary McCallie (James) of Sweetwater, TN; a grandchild, Christina Varvel (Shannon)of Henderson, TN; a great granddaughter, Madison Bryanne Varvel; a son-in-law, Dale Andrew Todd of Henderson and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Mincy.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a brother, Gene T Mincy; a sister, Thelma Monday.

Services will be held on December 6, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Rev. Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery at Chester County, Tennessee.
