FRANCES ARNOLD YOUNG
Beech Bluff, TN: Lila Frances Arnold Young age 82 passed away November 2, 2015 at her home.
She was born January 8, 1933 in Chester County the daughter of the late T.J. and Mary Margaret Graves Arnold. She graduated Chester County High School in 1951 and in 1954 was married to Hubert Edgar Young. They made their home in the Five Points Community all their married life. She worked for Steadman and Guy Clinic, Oakley Fashions in Jackson for over twenty years, and owned and operated Young’s Grocery on Pierce Road at Five Points. Later she and Mr. Young were self-employed carpenters and general maintenance workers. They retired in 1994 due to Mr. Young’s poor health. She was a member of the Big Springs Methodist Church, Big Springs F.C.E. Club (Family, Community and Education), Southeast Madison Ruritan and the order of the Eastern Star Henderson Chapter 120.
Mrs. Young is survived by two grandchildren, Crystal Lynn Young and Dixie Lynn Young Stewart (Jesse) and two great grandchildren, Dylan Stewart and Paisleigh Carter; two brothers, Harmon Arnold of Pinson and Anthony Arnold of Thompson Station and three sisters, Verlynn Mobley of Springhill, Shelia Evans of Cottage Grove and Elizabeth Kitchen of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Edgar Young in 1995 and a son, Edgar Lynn Young, June 5, 2015.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday November 4, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Jimmy Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Big Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday.
