Francis Nadine Plunk

Francis Nadine Latham Plunk, of Henderson departed this life on June 24, 2017 at her home in Henderson, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years.
She was born June 24, 1930 in Beech Bluff, TN the daughter of the late Frank and Exie Griffin Latham. She attended Friendship Elementary School and Chester County High School. She then received her nursing certificate in Jackson, TN. She was united in marriage to R. L. Plunk on July 25, 1960. Mr. Plunk preceded her in death on August 2, 1997. She worked as a nurse at the Steadman-Guy Clinic in Henderson. Her interests included riding horses, training Walking Horses, gardening, Line and Square dancing. She also loved Gospel music, playing both the guitar and piano. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henderson.
She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda (Plunk) Mayo of Henderson, TN; three sons, Phillip Rex Plunk of Henderson, TN, Randall Laverne (Tina Ward) Plunk of Corinth, MS and Ray Lamar (Lisa Weaver) Plunk of Henderson, TN; two brothers, Billy Frank Latham of Beech Bluff, TN, Jerry Latham of Milan, TN; four sisters, Joann Williams of Jackson, TN, Dorothy Gaddy of Henderson, TN, Joyce Fowler of Beech Bluff, TN, Yvonne Jones of Beech Bluff, TN; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Plunk was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Latham; and a son-in-law Greg Mayo.
Services will be held on June 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Charles Ward and Randy Plunk officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery at Henderson, Tennessee.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel on Monday, June 26, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
