Frank David Caperton

Frank D. Caperton Jr. Mr. Frank D. Caperton, Jr. departed this life Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his residence in Collinwood, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 10 Months, 18 Days. He was born March 1, 1939 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late Melvin David and Mary Ellen Scott Caperton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Caperton was preceded in death by sister, Ethel Russell and son-in-law, Mark Wright.

Mr. Caperton had worked at Wayne Metal and Hassell & Hughes Lumber Company. He was a member of the Collinwood Church of God .

He is survived by his wife, Bessie Martin Caperton, son, Paul Caperton , daughter, Violet Wright all of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Steven Wright, Daniel Caperton, Monica Bratcher, Matthew Wright, Nicholas Caperton, Tyler Wright and great-grandchildren, Addilynn Caperton, Brody Wright, Peyton Caperton, Will Wright and Corbin Bratcher.

Services will be Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Chad Balentine, Joe Sexton, Richard Bane and Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in the Railroad Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Friday, January 20, 2017 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 9 am until service time at the funeal home.

Pallbearers will be Steven Wright, Daniel Caperton, Matthew Wright, Nicholas Caperton, Tyler Wright and Jacob Davis.
