Frank H. Lacey

September 8, 1961 — October 27, 2025

Frank Hooper Lacey entered this world on September 8, 1961, in Andalusia, Alabama, the beloved son of William F. Lacey and Sarah McBride Lacey, who lovingly survives him. On October 27, 2025, Frank completed his earthly journey at his home in Adamsville, Tennessee, surrounded by love and grace, following complications from a brain tumor. He was 64 years old.

Frank was united in marriage to his devoted wife, Jennifer Jones Lacey, who remains to cherish his memory. Together they built a life of deep faith, love, and laughter. He is also survived by his four children, who were his greatest joy: Sarah Adeline Melson (Jeremiah) of Olive Hill, TN; Walker B. Lacey (Shelby) of Clinton, MS; Mollie Lacey Gobbell (Stephen) of Savannah, TN; and Luke Alexander Lacey of Starkville, MS.

Frank’s legacy continues through his precious grandchildren — Brooks Gordon Berry, Rosemary Evelyn Lacey, Walker B. Lacey, Jr., Lacey Ann Gobbell, and Claire Elizabeth Gobbell — each a living reflection of his love and character.

He is also survived by his in-laws, Willie and Sue Jones of Adamsville, TN; his sisters, Terri Neeley and Ava Reed (Craig), both of Starkville, MS; his brother-in-law, Todd Jones (Melanie) of Acton, TN; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward (Ned) and Ava Lacey, Otis and Emma McBride, and his brother-in-law, Marty Neeley.

A man of great integrity and purpose, Frank served as Agency Director for Globe Life – Bradley Gray Agency in Corinth, MS. He took great pride in his work, finding true fulfillment in helping others protect what mattered most. Over the years, his professional path reflected his diverse talents and leadership — serving as Plant Manager of Garan, Inc., City President of the Bank of Adamsville, Manager of Tennessee Materials, and Dispatcher for Pink Logistics.

Frank graduated from Mississippi State University in 1984 with a degree in Political Science, and later earned his Mississippi resident appraisal license and completed Commercial Lending School. He was a lifelong Bulldog fan whose heart and loyalty were deeply rooted in his alma mater.

Faith was the cornerstone of Frank’s life. He was a Member and Elder of First Presbyterian Church in Corinth, MS, where he worshiped, served, and found deep fellowship. His family is profoundly grateful to the congregation and friends who ministered to him with unwavering love and prayer throughout his illness.

Frank’s life was one of service — to his faith, his community, and his family. He officiated TSSAA football for 18 years, served 12 years as a City Commissioner for Adamsville, 12 years on the McNairy County Board of Education, and as Trustee for the Tennessee Risk Management Trust. He found great joy studying church history and the Bible, sharing fellowship over a good cigar, and spending time with family and friends, enjoying yard work and his pool.

Honorary Pallbearers: Eddie Thomas, Todd Jones, Randy Long, Mike Stanley, Chad Austin, Matt Wood, and Tony Murphy.

Pallbearers: Craig Reed, Ryan Lacey, William Neeley, Wesley Reed, Walker Lacey, Luke Lacey, and Stephen Gobbell.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to cherished friends — Gil Parrish, Randy Long, Mike Stanley, Gregg Parker, Dr. Micah Monaghan, Matt Wood, Waring Porter, and many others — whose presence and compassion were steadfast through Frank’s journey.

In his final act of service and generosity, Frank chose to donate his body to science through the University of Tennessee. Cremation will follow, and burial will take place at a later date at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery in Shiloh, TN.
