Frank Martin

On Saturday, October 10, 2020, Frank N. Martin, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away at the age of 82.

Frank was born on November 15, 1937 in Waynesboro, TN to Claude and Annie Milam Martin. After high school graduation, he joined the National Guard and served until 1966. During his military service, he also worked at MacDonnell Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis, MO and Avco Aerostructures in Nashville, TN. After moving back to Tennessee, Frank worked the majority of his career at Tyrone Hydraulics / Dana Corporation in Corinth, MS. Ending his working career at Corinth Gas and Water Dept.

On November 28, 1963, he married Bernice Stewart, his wife of 56 years. They raised a daughter, Sandra Martin Fowler. If you knew Frank, you loved him. He loved to talk and absolutely "never met a stranger". He was constantly fixing things and bled orange. You rarely saw him without his cap and his bible. He was a longtime member of West Shiloh Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and later as a member of Oakland Baptist Church in Corinth, MS.

Frank was preceded in death by his father, Claude, his mother, Annie, and sister, Christine.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice, his daughter, Sandra Fowler (Charles), two granddaughters, Anna Mullins (Justin) and Sarah Doss (Bryan), one great-grandson Charlie, and one brother, Elvin Martin (Norma).
