Frankie Lee Fawcett

Frankie Lee Fawcett, age 71 of Bolivar, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, in Jackson, TN, surrounded by the love of his family.

Frankie was born Monday, September 27, 1954, to Bruce and Lillian Fawcett. Right after graduating high school, Frankie learned to grade lumber at his father's side -- a skill and a trade that would shape the rest of his life. He carried that knowledge into decades of work as a lumber inspector, a job he truly loved. But that job only scratched the surface of who he was. He was a builder at heart -- the kind of man who could look at something broken and simply know how to fix it. Give him wood, tools, and a little time, and he could build almost anything. There was a quiet confidence in his hands, earned through a lifetime of hard, honest work and passed down from father to son. Frankie married Lisa Stewart on Friday, April 20, 1979, and were married for forty-seven years until his passing.

Frankie never said much. He didn't need to. He was a man of few words but firm conviction and when he did speak, people listened -- because they knew it mattered. His silence wasn't distance; it was steadiness. He showed his love the way he did everything else: through action, through showing up, through being the one you could always count on, no matter what.

That reliability wasn't just a trait -- it was a gift to the people he loved. He was the husband who stayed, the father who provided, the grandfather whose steady presence meant more than words ever could. 

Frankie is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Lisa Fawcett; his daughter, Misty Benard (Michael), and his son, Ty Fawcett; his grandchildren, Braden Plunk (Laney), Allyson Watkins, and Kayleigh Watkins; his great-granddaughter, Delilah Jane Plunk, and another great-grandchild on the way -- a continuation of the legacy he built; and his sisters, Ann Cryer of Bolivar, TN, and Barbara Smith of Jackson, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Lillian Fawcett; two brothers, Jerry Fawcett and Bill Fawcett; and two nephews, Jeff Fawcett and Blaine Fawcett.

Frankie leaves behind more than memories. He leaves behind the things he built, the people he shaped simply by being present, and a quiet example of what it means to work, love deeply, and be someone others can lean on. He didn't need many words to leave a lasting mark -- his life spoke for itself. 

He will be deeply missed, and just as deeply remembered.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Middleburg Baptist Church from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

Memorial donations in Frankie's name may be made to the choice of the donor.
