Frankie E. Pickens
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 27, 1924 the daughter of the late Jiles C. and Ella Pearl Love Smith.
On May 2, 1942 she was united in marriage to Carl Arthur Pickens, who preceded her in death on September 1, 1979. Mrs. Pickens worked as an assembler for R.C.A. and had also worked at Owens Illinois Glass Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Tennessee.
She departed this life on February 13, 2007 at Donaldson Care Center in Fayetteville, Tennessee at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 17 days.
Mrs. Pickens is survived by two daughters: Pat Shaddy of Fayetteville, Tennessee and Bonnie Pierce of Byhalia, Mississippi; six grandchildren;
three sisters: Dean Anderson of Columbia, South Carolina, Mary Hughes of Camden, Tennessee and Wanda Austin of Bartlett, Tennessee
and one brother, Louie Smith of Crump, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by
one sister, Lavern House and one brother, Carl Smith.
