Mr. Burnette passed away Wednesday morning, February 23, 2011 at Tri-County Nursing Home in Adamsville.
The widower of Mildred Burnette, who died June 2, 1976, he was a lead man at Sequentia for 35 years. Mr. Burnette was born December 13, 1932 in Hardeman County to the late George Stanton Burnette and Fannie Vaughn Burnette and lived all of his life here. He was a member of Rogers Springs Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening, fishing and working in the yard.
He is survived by a daughter, Ann Burnette of Silerton; a granddaughter, Kimberly Burnette of Chalybeate, MS; two great grandchildren, Whitley Russell and Ann-Marie Burnette; a sister, Gertrude Brint of Little Rock, AR; three great-nephews, Clay and Josh Rainey and Jared Kirkman; and a great-niece, Jen Rainey. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, George Harold, Robert, Hayes and Jack Burnette; and a sister, Addie Galloway.
