Franklin D. Hunter was born March 22, 1934 in Henderson, TN the son of the late Alvin and Vergie Allison Hunter.
He was united in marriage to Annie Bonee on January 9, 1956.
Mr. Hunter loved his country. He proudly served during the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict, he retired from the United States Air Force as Master Sargeant after 20 years of dedication and service to his country. He then worked for ITT as a molding set-up operator and later owning his own business Frank's Refrigeration for over 15 years. He was a member of Falcon Baptist Church in Selmer, TN.
He loved his family. He enjoyed camping, listening to bluegrass music and traveling to Columbia for Mule Day.
Mr. Hunter departed this life on June 19, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 2 Months, 28 Days. He is survived by his wife Annie Hunter of Selmer, TN; two sons, Michael Wayne Hunter of Selmer, TN, Jeffery Alan Hunter and wife Debra of Selmer, TN; three grandchildren, Heather Sweat and husband David of Selmer, TN, Jamie Hunter and special friend Nikki of Ramer, TN, Nicole Holland and husband Brad of Collierville, TN; seven great grandchildren, Hunter and Josh Sweat, Mason Hunter, Addie Dixe,
Ella Grace, Brayden, and Cannon Holland; two sisters, Betty Stewart of Selmer, TN, Judy Outlaw of Selmer, TN; five brothers, X.L. Hunter of Selmer, TN, James Hunter of Kansas, Clay Hunter and wife Imogene of Shiloh, TN, Willie Hunter of Middleton, TN, Johnny Hunter and wife Pat of Memphis, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by a sister, Imogene Myers; a brother, Jerry Hunter.
