Franklin Thurmond Burkhead

Franklin (Thurmond) Burkheadwas born in Montezuma, Tennessee on August 16, 1942 the son of the late Ambrose Franklin and Virginia Reba Thurmond Burkhead.On October 30, 1970 he was united in marriage to Rosemary Louise Baker, who survives.Mr. Burkhead had lived in Downers Grove, Illinois and was a concrete finisher for Pritchard\'s Concrete; he had also worked for John Flick Concrete. He was artistic and enjoyed painting. Mr. Burkhead was a very loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.He departed this life on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the age of 69 years, 8 months, 18 days.In addition to his wife, Rosemary, he is survived by his children, Dennis Treiber of Jacksonville, Florida, Norma Heatherly of Cape Coral, Florida, Stephen Treiber of Las Vegas, New Mexico, Kathleen Moss of Downers Grove, Illinois, Kurt Treiber of Jacksonville, Florida, Thurmond DeWayne Burkhead of Ohio, Bobby J. Burkhead of Savannah, Tennessee, Allen (Doug) Hiatt of Downers Grove, Illinois, Lisa A. Burkhead of Jacksonville, Florida, and Lauretta Lynn Grammer of Downers Grove, Illinois; 18 grandchildren and 7 1/2 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Virginia Nell King of Bolivar, Tennessee, Mary Kay Hart of Lexington, Tennessee, Martha Burkhead of Louisiana, and Darlene Roupp of Lexington, Tennessee; 3 brothers, Ronnie Burkhead of Finger, Tennessee, Michael Burkhead of Illinois, and Billy Burkhead of Savannah, Tennessee.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Carlos Ray, James Albert, and Johnny Lynn Burkhead.
