Fred Charles Cantrell

Fred Charles Cantrell of Collinwood, TN, formerly of Gallatin, TN, was born November 6, 1948 in Twin Falls, ID, the son of the late Harold Dee and Louise Janette Page Cantrell. He was united in marriage to Minta Faye Dixon on September 11, 1971.

Mr. Cantrell was a retired guard with Metro Government and departed this life on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at his home at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 3 days.

He is survived by his wife, Minta Faye Dixon Cantrell of Collinwood, TN; a brother, Mickey Cantrell of Austin, NV and a sister, Pattie Martin of Idaho.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cantrell was preceded in death by two brothers, Lance Cantrell and Monty Cantrell.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Joel Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Shawnettee Memory Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Arlie Daniel, Travis Butler, Brent Dixon, Harlon Ray Daniel, Brent Holt, Tyler Holt, Nathaniel Horton, Junior Holt, Rex Caperton and Arlie Keeton, Jr.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 11 am to service time at the funeral home.
