Fred Leon Luallen

Mr. Fred Leon Luallen of Saulsbury departed this life Saturday evening, May 12, 2012 at Bolivar General Hospital in Bolivar, Tennessee.



Mr. Luallen was born in Douglas County, Missouri July 12, 1941 to the late Floyd and Bea Smith Luallen. He was baptized May 29, 1955 and graduated from Ava High School in Ava, Missouri, Class of 1959. He enlisted in the United States Navy serving 20 years in the medical corps achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer and made two tours of duty to Vietnam. On October 15, 1973 he was united in marriage to Nona Diane Kline, who survives.



Following retirement from the Navy, he attended and graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God College. Later, he and his wife owned and operated CYC Photography Co. in Waxahachie, TX, Trumann, AR and Saulsbury, TN. The two traveled to many churches and schools taking pictures for families. In addition to photography, he loved golf and fishing and was a proud supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project. He was a member of the Assembly of God in Trumann and attended West Memorial Baptist Church in Saulsbury.



In addtion to his wife, he had two sons, Jerry Luallen of Springfield, Missorui and Greg Luallen, who preceded him in death; and three stepsons, Jerry Rutledge of Los Angeles, California, Bill Montgomery of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Charles Kline of Middleton. He is also survived by one sister, Dixie Tuller of Buffalo, Missouri, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
