Mr. Robinson died Tuesday night at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
A native of Cloverport, he was the son of the late S. D. and Anna Crews Overton Robinson. He married the former Barbara Bryant on July 7, 1951 and was a member of the Bolivar First United Methodist Church. There, he was a member of the Men's Sunday School Class and Methodist Men. For 30 years, Mr. Robinson was employed with Baker Manufacturing Company. He also served as Chief of the Bolivar Fire Department for 5 years, as well as being a member of the Department for over 30 years. Mr. Robinson served in the Tennessee National Guard for 20 years.
He leaves his wife, Barbara Robinson of Bolivar; his daughter Judy Hamby and her husband, Mitch, of Bolivar; his son M. G. (R) Doug Robinson and his wife, Reva, of Lenexa, KS; his sister, Peggy Smith and her husband, Billy Gene, of Collierville; his brother, Joe Robinson of Memphis; two grandchildren, Megan Robinson Smith and her husband, Allen, of Lenexa, KS and Matthew D. Robinson of Nashville; and a great-grandchild "on the way" in November.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bennie and Joseph William Robinson.
