FREDA ANN NEWMAN NIXONwas born in Morris Chapel, Tennessee on April 29, 1934 the daughter of the late George Odell and Ruthie Haynes Newman.On July 18, 1949 she was united in marriage to Allen Lafayette Nixon, who preceded his wife in death on May 14, 1997.Mrs. Nixon retired from Wal-Mart. She also had worked for Martin's Supermarkets in South Bend, Indiana.She departed this life on February 20, 2010 in Knoxville, Tennessee at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 22 days.Mrs. Nixon is survived by 2 sons, Larry A. Nixon and his wife Harriett of North Liberty, Indiana and Jud Nixon and his wife Sue of Knoxville, Tennessee7 grandchildren, Kenneth Klockow, David Klockow, Kimberly Bostic, Charles Klockow, Edward Nixon, Cody Nixon and Amy Quick20 great grandchildren and 2 great great granddaughtersone brother, Carl H. Newman and his wife Pauline of New Iberia, Louisiana and one sister-in-law, Marietta Newman of Lago Vista, Texas.In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Randall Justin Nixon and Alecia Penner, one sister, Lavelle Newman Holley and 2 brothers, James A. Newman and Charles Ray Newman.
