Freddie Goodlow Cherry was born on November 1, 1943, the daughter of the late Frank and Morella Siner Goodlow. She was united in marriage on July 23, 1960 to John Theodore Cherry, who preceded her in death. Freddie left this earth on January 25, 2017, at the age of 73 years, 2 months, and 24 days.
Before retirement, Freddie worked as a factory worker for the Brown Shoe Company. She was a missionary at the Graham Chapel CME church. Freddie loved people in general, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, gospel shows, westerns, and working in the yard.
Freddie is survived by her daughters, Sharon Cherry Ware and husband Ricky of Union City, Tennessee, Rebecka Cherry Stackins and husband Tommy Lee of Savannah, Tennessee, Charlotte Cherry Morton and husband Keith, and LeEtta Cherry Hoyle and husband Phillip, both of Corinth, Mississippi; sister, Dr. Addie Jean Kirkland and husband Robert of Ann Arbor, Michigan; grandchildren, Tommteize Stackins and fiancée Britany McClain of Savannah, Tennessee, Ricardo Ware of Union City, Tennessee, and Carlos Jerrod Cherry and Jon Zachary Morton, both of Corinth, Mississippi; and three great grandchildren, Inaiya Ajaire Cherry Alexander, Ashaiya Hoyle, and Jaiden Hoyle, all of Corinth, Mississippi.
Along with her parents and her husband, Freddie was preceded in death by her sisters, Cornelia Bailey, Bobbie Graham, Mary Etta Goodlow, and Katie Pearl Goodlow and her brothers, Amos Goodlow, Charlie Goodlow, Louis Goodlow, James Goodlow, Johnny Goodlow, and Frank Goodlow, Jr.
