Freddie Carl Montgomery of Cypress Inn, TN was born January 27, 1945 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the son of Emily Irene Pigg Montgomery of Cypress Inn, TN, who survives, and the late Granville Glen Montgomery.
Mr. Montgomery was a retired maintenance worker with NAFCO.
Mr. Montgomery departed this life on Tuesday, July 12, 2011at his home at the age of 66 Years, 5 Months, 15 Days.
Other than his mother, he is survived by a son, Darrell Montgomery and girlfriend, Lisa Creighton of Florence, AL; two daughters, Carol Walker and boyfriend, Charlie Rich of Florence, AL, Connie Anderson of Montgomery, AL; six grandchildren, Madilyn Montgomery, Derek Walker, Bradley Rich, Harley Rich, Brandon Allison, Chris Anderson; a brother, Gerald Montgomery and wife, Judy of Florence, AL; a sister, Shirley Bailey and husband, Billy of Cypress Inn, TN; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, July 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Gerald Montgomery and Nolan Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Cypress Inn, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors directing. Pallbearers will be Eddie Cummings, Mitchell Scott, Mike Higgins, Lamont McCreless, Derek Walker, Brandon Allison and honorary pallbearers will be Greg and Joey May.
